We are currently accepting applications from interested programs who would like to participate in the Focus on Integrated Treatment (FIT) initiative. Practitioners, supervisors and clinical leadership can accumulate training hours (CASAC and other) when they participate in this OASAS- and OMH-funded initiative.
FIT’s free online modules are designed to help programs implement integrated treatment for co-occurring disorders (COD). Integrated treatment for COD is a proven strategy for helping people sustain and maintain recovery. The treatment emphasizes the importance of people setting their own recovery goals (e.g., education and employment, re-connecting with children and families) and underscores the key role of peers with COD in the recovery process.
Developed for the real-world environment, FIT’s practical approach features concise, half-hour online learning modules that allow practitioners to choose when and where to take their training, which includes inspiring personal recovery stories, clinical vignettes, interactive exercises, and expert panel presentations to engage the learner. Click here to view module descriptions.
This training helps practitioners gain a firm foundation in evidence-based integrated treatment for COD including screening and assessment, stage-wise treatment, motivational interviewing, and more. Additional modules help clinical supervisors develop their supervision skills and guide agency leaders through changes to ensure sustainability of integrated treatment.
