The Center for Practice Innovations (CPI) supports the New York State Office of Mental Health’s mission to promote the widespread availability of evidence-based practices to improve mental health services, ensure accountability, and promote recovery-oriented outcomes for consumers and families. The CPI serves as a key resource to OMH by spreading those practices identified by OMH as most critical to accomplish OMH’s system-transformation initiatives.

In response to a high level of interest across New York State, the Center for Practice Innovations, the New York State Office of Mental Health, and the New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services have worked closely together and developed a new version of Wellness Self-Management. In September 2011, the Center for Practice Innovation's ACT Institute recently updated the core training curriculum for ACT providers. The new curriculum includes 24 hours of in-person training plus 7.5 hours of web-based training. Read more.
